At the first instance courts, the position of a freely appointable judge within the meaning of § 26 Abs. 3 JusG must be refilled for the term of office 2027-2030. The electoral body is the Kantonsrat (§ 8 Abs. 1 JusG).

Your tasks

• Activity at a first instance court (Bezirksgericht, Kriminalgericht, Arbeitsgericht) as a freely appointable judge

Your profile

• Completed legal education (Master or Lizentiat)
• Attorney license or equivalent training
• Swiss citizenship and residence in the Canton of Luzern
• Several years of relevant professional experience (preferably at court, in law firms and/or in administration)
• Willingness to engage intensively with legal issues
• Very good knowledge of Swiss procedural codes (civil and criminal procedure)
• Analytical thinking
• Ability to grasp complex facts and communicate them clearly
• Personal integrity and incorruptibility
