We are looking for a stonecutter for our client in the Lausanne metropolitan area, for a long temporary mission

Stonecutter

• Training as a stonecutter, specialized stone mason, or equivalent professional experience.
• Good mastery of stone cutting and shaping techniques.
• Attention to detail, precision, and a taste for well-done work.
• Autonomy, seriousness, and team spirit.
• Experience in heritage restoration would be an asset.

You will participate in rehabilitation work operations on ashlar stone buildings, notably historical monuments. You will perform stone cutting and shaping work, ensuring the expected level of quality and safety.

Your missions are as follows:

• Familiarize yourself with the construction site context (plans, layouts...), specific instructions, and participate in the development of operating procedures and work planning.
• Cut, shape, and assemble natural stone elements according to plans and technical specifications.
• Create bespoke works: facades, stairs, frames, walls, paving, decorative elements, etc.
• Remove stones to be replaced, trace the stone layouts, perform stone cutting according to plans and site needs.
• Adjust pieces for assembly and installation, ensure finishing work and any necessary repairs.
• Ensure the quality, precision, and finishing of the works performed.
• Work in compliance with safety rules and deadlines.
