Deployed across several sites, the Institution de Lavigny consists of a neurological hospital with outpatient consultations on two sites, two accommodation departments for adults with disabilities, with an intellectual deficiency and respectively a physical issue, a special school and a workshops and vocational training sector. We are looking for a: Specialized Educator for the Specialized Day Center (Specialized Activity Center / Complex Welcome Hub / Complex Welcome Service) – Permanent contract between 80% and 100%. At the Institution de Lavigny, at the Specialized Day Center, we provide daily support to adults presenting autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and/or challenging behaviors including so-called complex situations for which behavioral disorders of an auto- and hetero-aggressive type are associated. Our Specialized Day Center (Specialized Activity Center / Complex Welcome Hub / Complex Welcome Service) is open from Monday to Friday (and a few Saturdays per year). Their reality is to support men and women from 18 to 80 years old by offering them accessibility to activity. Your mission As part of the development of our services, we are looking for a specialized educator for our Specialized Day Center (Specialized Activity Center / Complex Welcome Hub / Complex Welcome Service). The goal being to support people, through individualized care, outside of their daily life in a reassuring and secure setting. Your main responsibilities Ensure individualized educational support adapted to the specific needs of each person welcomed. Design, implement and evaluate personalized educational projects. Lead structured activities, developing skills, providing physical and mental well-being. Prevent, understand and manage crisis situations or challenging behaviors by applying adapted educational approaches. Collaborate closely with the educational teams of the accommodation as well as with the various partners of the network. Participate in team meetings, institutional reflections and the writing of observations and reports. Contribute actively to a secure, structuring and benevolent environment. Your profile Diploma as a specialized educator or title deemed equivalent. Confirmed experience with people presenting an intellectual deficiency, behavioral disorders and/or ASD. Trained or sensitized to approaches: Functional, ABA, TEACCH, PECS, AAC (an asset) Capacity for analysis, stress management and ability to gain perspective in the face of complex situations. Excellent interpersonal skills and aptitude for working in a multidisciplinary team. Sense of responsibility, creativity and professional commitment. Mastery of usual IT tools and writing ease.
