The Staatsanwaltschaft Winterthur / Unterland conducts criminal investigations against adults in the districts of Andelfingen, Bülach, Dielsdorf and Winterthur.

As of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for your support in Winterthur to complement our team as a Public Prosecutor (60%).

Job Description ###

The focus of your tasks is the initiation, conduct and conclusion of criminal investigations, whereby you possess effective and efficient case management, meet the internal general and specific performance specifications, represent indictments before the Bezirksgericht, lead preliminary proceedings and make decisions on the conclusion. You perform regular on-call duties.

Requirement Profile ###

You have practical court experience and have completed the CAS Forensics course. You apply your very good knowledge of criminal law and criminal procedure law in practice and conduct your investigations systematically and efficiently. In formal terms, you are eligible for election as a Public Prosecutor in accordance with the Zürcher Gerichtsorganisationsgesetz.

Your personal strengths include absolute integrity, discretion and high resilience. You are flexible and are characterized by an enjoyment of new and unforeseen things. Decisiveness, assertiveness and a will to prosecute are among your qualities. You seek interdisciplinary teamwork and collegiality, where your high communicative competence and your diplomatic skill are beneficial to you. Furthermore, you have a willingness for permanent professional further training and integrate into participation in projects.
