Cost-Engineer

As a Cost-Engineer, you advise engineering, project management, and procurement on cost calculation and technical assessment of components in the railway technology environment.

Tasks

• Advising and supporting engineering, project management, and procurement during the project phase
• Creation of product cost calculations and development of calculation models
• Creation of business cases and make-or-buy analyses
• Estimation of the cost impact of design changes (Design-to-Cost)
• Technical assessment of components, manufacturing processes, and materials
• Execution of technical feasibility studies and concepts
• Comparison of supplier offers with internal cost analyses

Profile

• Completed technical education at university level (FH/university)
• Several years of professional experience in cost analysis and calculation is an advantage
• Knowledge of a 3D CAD system, preferably Catia V5
• Knowledge of calculation software, preferably aPriori
• German language skills (C1) and English language skills (B2) in spoken and written form
• Knowledge in value analysis, Design-to-Cost, process costing
• SAP and MS Office knowledge is an advantage
