Manager Communication 100%

Your varied activities

• Responsible for the local, national, and international media work of Interlaken Tourismus
• Building and maintaining contacts with media professionals as well as supporting journalists on site
• Writing press releases, planning and managing media events, media trips, and other communication activities
• Representing Interlaken Tourismus as a media spokesperson internally and externally
• Identification and preparation of current topics, news, and stories for various communication channels
• Management and further development of the own communicative vessels of Interlaken Tourismus
• Support and advice to the various departments on communicative issues
• Responsible for the coordination and further development of the sustainability activities of Interlaken Tourismus
• Cooperation with internal and external partners on communication and sustainability topics

Our requirement profile

• Experience in journalism, public relations, or corporate communications as well as in professional media work
• Strong editorial skills, stylistically confident German as well as very good English and French skills
• Joy in writing and editing texts for different target groups as well as affinity for digital communication and modern communication channels
• Convincing and confident appearance as a media spokesperson, joy in contact with media professionals and partners
• Strong communication and service orientation as well as sensitivity in dealing with sensitive topics
• Initiative, independent and solution-oriented way of working as well as teamwork skills
• Organizational talent, flexibility and resilience
• Willingness for occasional assignments outside of usual working hours
• Good connection to the holiday region Interlaken and to tourism; existing media or industry network an advantage
• Residence in the region desired
