Mechanic Central Switzerland What awaits you * Repair, maintenance, inspection, and overhaul of our production plants, machines, and devices * Performance of regular inspection rounds at plants, transfer points, and on the plant area * Manufacture and assembly of replacement components as well as procurement of required spare parts * Execution of welding and cutting torch work * Support during shutdowns and overhauls in the gravel and concrete works of the region * Collaboration in the continuous optimization of plants, machines, and workflows * Documentation of the maintenance work performed as well as support in the planning of annual overhauls * Independent implementation of small to medium-sized projects as well as support for general plant maintenance work What you bring * Completed technical vocational training in the field of mechanics * Professional experience in repair, maintenance, steel, or plant construction * Sound knowledge in mechanics and welding technology as well as basic knowledge in electricity and pneumatics * Technical understanding as well as knowledge in construction engineering and reporting * Independent, structured, and reliable way of working with a high sense of safety and responsibility * Solution-oriented thinking, initiative, and willingness to take on responsibility * Team spirit, helpfulness, and good communication skills * Good IT user skills as well as openness to new tasks and technologies * Very good German skills in speaking and writing, basic knowledge of English is an advantage At Holcim (Schweiz) AG, we live a culture of diversity and inclusion.
