On behalf of one of our clients, we are looking for a wood engineer (M/F).

Your future responsibilities:

• You will develop lasting relationships with architects, engineering offices, project owners, and construction players.
• You will study projects from their design phase and advise our partners on the choice of wood construction systems adapted to technical, financial, and architectural constraints.
• You will imagine different technical approaches and seek the best solutions in terms of structure, prefabrication, costs, deadlines, and execution methods.
• You will examine tenders, calls for bids, and public markets and manage the preparation of the elements necessary to establish solid and competitive proposals.
• You will collaborate closely with the various specialists of the Group to establish financial estimates and precisely define the scope of services.
• Depending on the nature of the mandates, you will take charge of or supervise the calculation of wood structures as well as the design and verification of joints.
• You will bring your engineer's perspective to identify optimization possibilities and evolve projects towards technically reliable and economically coherent solutions.
• You will have higher education in the field of wood engineering or construction, ideally a HES degree in wood technology, an EPFL training in civil engineering with a specialization or significant experience in wood, or a path deemed equivalent.
• You will benefit from at least five years of professional experience in engineering, design, or the development of wood construction projects.
• You will use specialized tools such as Dlubal RFEM/RSTAB and Cadwork with ease.
• You will be able to quickly identify the challenges of a project, evaluate its constraints, and guide partners towards efficient and financially controlled construction solutions.
• You will be comfortable in exchanges with clients, designers, and professional partners and will know how to explain, argue, and promote your technical choices.
• Your clear and natural communication will allow you to create solid professional relationships and establish lasting trust.
• Your sense of responsibility, your autonomy, and your ability to seek solutions will contribute directly to the success of the projects.

Your profile:
