A key role in the heart of Valais hydroelectric operations: To strengthen the management of their hydroelectric power plants, FMV is seeking an Operations Manager 80-100% immediately or by agreement. In this function, you will work in the Asset Management department of the Production division. Your mission Your task is to take over the operations management of the assigned hydroelectric and photovoltaic power plants with a structured, reliable and long-term approach. You will coordinate the interfaces between internal and external stakeholders, participation companies, authorities and specialized service providers. You will ensure the safety, maintenance, upkeep and availability of the infrastructures and at the same time ensure careful management of data, processes and operational issues. In this role, you will contribute to representing the interests of the assigned plants in the commissions and bodies of the participation companies. With your commitment, you will contribute to strengthening operational quality, cooperation with regional partners and supply security with renewable energy. You will ensure reporting to the responsible authorities and actively support strategic planning and continuous improvement of the Asset Management division. Your profile Higher education in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering or equivalent education, supplemented by a good understanding of energy and infrastructure issues Proven experience in maintenance, upkeep or operation of technical infrastructures, ideally in the energy sector or in the field of critical infrastructures Good understanding of the technical, operational and safety-related challenges in the operation of hydroelectric infrastructures Experience in leading technical projects and coordinating external service providers Strong interest in hydroelectric operations, environmental, regulatory and institutional issues as well as cooperation with participation companies Clear and recipient-oriented communication with different stakeholder groups as well as good coordination, negotiation and interface skills Independent, responsible and structured personality who can process several files in parallel, set priorities and move in an interdisciplinary environment German or French as a native language with very good knowledge of the other language (level B2-C1) and good English skills Why work with us?
