Software Engineer SWE .NET Tooling Zürich

As a Software Engineer .NET, you will work for 18 months at a bank in Zürich on Windows-based applications, integration solutions, and automated data processes. You will develop and maintain client applications with WPF and WinForms, work with ASP.NET as well as Kafka-based interfaces, and automate technical workflows with PowerShell and GitLab CI/CD. In the case of technical problems, you will also develop solution approaches through abstraction and projection of existing data even without available test data.

What awaits you in this task

• Development and further development of applications with .NET Framework under Windows as well as modern .NET
• Development and maintenance of client applications with WPF and WinForms
• Development of vendor and integration solutions with ASP.NET
• Implementation and maintenance of ETL processes
• Development and maintenance of Kafka-based interfaces including management of technical dependencies
• Work with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
• Automation of technical workflows and recurring processes with PowerShell
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
• Analysis and debugging of complex T-SQL queries
• Execution and maintenance of T-SQL processes
• Analysis and solution of technical problems even without available test data
• Use of abstraction and data projection to limit technical problems
• Windows server administration depending on existing experience

What you bring with you

• Professional experience as a Software Engineer or in a comparable function
• Sound knowledge in .NET, including .NET Framework under Windows and modern .NET
• Experience with WPF and WinForms for client applications
• Experience with ASP.NET for integration solutions
• Knowledge in ETL processes and Kafka-based interfaces
• Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
• Good knowledge in PowerShell for scripting and automation
• Sound knowledge in T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience in debugging complex T-SQL queries
• Knowledge in Windows server administration is an advantage
