For the Medical Control area of the Administrative Road Safety Department, we are looking for a Clerk Medical Control 80-100% as of 1. December 2026 or by arrangement.

The Medical Control area is responsible for verifying the driving fitness of holders of driving licenses for motor vehicles and ships, as well as ordering and implementing administrative measures.

Your tasks

• You check and assess incoming medical certificates and clarify open questions
• You monitor compliance with requirements, request driving licenses, and initiate changes to driving licenses
• You study police reports, accident reports, and documents
• You examine and decide whether proceedings are to be opened
• You independently conduct administrative proceedings (e.g., ordering driving fitness assessments and requirements, issuing driving license revocations)
• You draft procedural letters (e.g., granting a right to be heard) and create reasoned decrees
• You correspond with driving license holders, legal representatives, expert bodies, and authorities
• You serve and advise customers on the telephone and at the counter

Your profile

• Completion as Kauffrau/Kaufmann EFZ or equivalent training
• Several years of professional experience in demanding clerical work, preferably in a legal and/or medical work environment or in public administration (justice, police)
• Exact, expeditious, and independent way of working, combined with quick comprehension and networked thinking
• Very good written expression skills
• German as a native language and good French skills (B1)
