Power Electronics Technician

Location Genève Availability Immediately Type Temporary Reference 42119 Published on 22/08/2026 We are looking for one of our clients in Genève for a: Power Electronics Technician Job Description ### Qualified technician to contribute to activities related to the replacement and commissioning of power converters. The candidate will actively participate in technical operations relating to the safety, transport, installation, testing, and documentation of new equipment.: Main responsibilities: • Ensure safety before the removal of converters. • Coordinate electromechanic teams to facilitate the disassembly and evacuation of converters from the building. • Manage and follow up on transport requests for the evacuation of old converters. • Supervise building consolidation work and respond to the needs of various stakeholders. • Organize and coordinate the transport as well as the installation of new converters in the building. • Perform commissioning tests, including: • Verify electrical connections, converter protections (interlocks). • Adjust the current regulation loops of the converters on their respective loads. • Test the standby converters. • Train first-line support teams and transfer the converters to the operations teams after validation. • Document technical procedures and ensure their regular update. Profile ### Skills: • Technical training in electrical/electronic engineering, in power electronics, in energy conversion, in instrumentation, or in a related field. • Practical experience with power converter systems and/or in an industrial environment. • Ability to work in collaboration with different technical teams. • Proficiency in writing and tracking the evolution of technical documentation. • Strong skills in analysis, organization, and problem-solving. • Team spirit, autonomy, and attention to detail. Field of experience: • Power converter • Junior profile considered (professional experience less than 5 years) provided they demonstrate real motivation to progress, train, and acquire the required skills. • Experience in design and/or testing of electronics and electrical sub-assemblies. Degree: • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. • Valid driver's license required. • Electrical authorization according to NF C 18-510 standard: B0, H0V, B1V, H1V, B2V, H2V, BR ; • Proficiency in electronic and/or electrical schematic entry tools (Altium or equivalent) would be an additional asset.
