Job Description We are looking for a skilled senior Java engineer with a strong desire to learn and innovate - you help challenge the status quo and are eager to develop new skills to help Nexthink stay at the forefront of employee digital experience. The candidate must be strongly motivated by both the product and the technology stack, while being capable of producing scalable software solutions in an agile environment. You will design, build, and deliver resilient and scalable large-scale distributed services that process billions of events, using modern cloud-native features and techniques. Your expertise will also contribute to the reliability and efficiency of our platforms, influencing both our product and engineering DevOps practices to ensure high availability, scalability, and system performance. Responsibilities • Implement, test, deliver, and optimize the Nexthink data platform and accelerate data integration. • Proactively collaborate with product management and other engineering stakeholders to maintain a high level of quality in a fast-paced and iterative environment. • Collaborate with architects to design and deliver scalable solutions. • Actively participate in the technology roadmap. • Advocate for product, security, quality, and performance improvements. • Promote best practices and strengthen team efficiency. • Deliver complex features and enhancements. • Manage level 3 support requests (with the rest of the team). • Work with an iterative/incremental agile mindset and actively participate in various ceremonies. Qualifications • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Java developer on SaaS projects. • Strong experience with Microservices frameworks. Micronaut or Spring framework would be a plus. • Computer science engineering degree (or equivalent), MSc preferred. • Expertise with messaging systems like Kafka is highly valued. • Knowledge of streaming services and distributed cache is a plus. • Experience with AWS or another cloud provider. • Familiarity with unit, integration, and E2E testing. • Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Autonomous and self-managed, with excellent organizational skills. • Positive and solution-oriented mindset. • Professional spoken and written English.
