The Département de médecine communautaire et de premier recours (DMCPR) has a societal mission to enable access to quality care for all through community medicine, to ensure the management of minor medical and surgical emergencies, to promote prevention among citizens, to provide medical knowledge for judicial investigations, and to promote the health of travelers. The service de médecine de premier recours (SMPR) ensures outpatient care for adult patients requiring primary care medicine. This service also offers outpatient emergency medicine services to the population. Within the framework of the HUG's missions of general interest, it offers access to care for populations disadvantaged by their age, social, economic, or legal status (asylum seekers, those hit by non-entry, undocumented persons, prisoners), or their lifestyle; if necessary, the service de médecine de premier recours also ensures the continuity of their care. Job Description ## In your capacity as assistant physician of the unité de médecine et soins dans la communauté (UMSCOM), you assist the unit's responsible assistant physician in the implementation and supervision of clinical, academic, and administrative activities. You participate in the smooth running of the unit by helping to coordinate and by collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, composed of doctors, social workers, nurses, and secretaries. You are concerned with offering a dynamic and caring work environment by valuing and developing the skills of your team. Through your leadership, you have the ability to unite your team around common goals and to involve them in development, research, and institutional projects. You contribute to the improvement of the quality of UMSCOM's services, particularly in the care of patients, through personal proposals and initiatives validated by management. You carry an ambition of academicization of your position and actively contribute to scientific research in the field of the health of disadvantaged persons. You lead study projects, publish, and develop the academic expertise of your unit. You participate in pre- and postgraduate teaching, and collaborate closely with management to design and deliver quality training. Finally, as a specialist in the care of precarious patients, you represent the unit (UMSCOM), the service (SMPR), and the department (DMCPR) both within the HUG and towards any external interlocutor. Qualifications ## You hold a federal medical diploma (or a title deemed equivalent and recognized by the Commission des professions médicales of the Office fédéral de la santé publique (MEBEKO)), a doctoral thesis in medicine (MD) or are in the process of obtaining one, a specialty title in general internal medicine, as well as training in public health. You possess the right of practice allowing you to practice in the canton of Geneva. You justify several years of experience in community health, a contribution to teaching, and to scientific research activities. You have experience in the field of managing the care system for precarious patients within the HUG. You can also justify successful experience in supervision or in team management. For non-French speaking persons, a C1 level of French in spoken and written tests is required.
