The retirement home (APH) Humanitas constitutes a meeting place in the Rauracher district for residents, relatives, visitors and approximately 130 employees, and occupies an important position in the south of Riehen with its seminar rooms, the public restaurant « Rosis Garten » and much more. In five different sectors of activity, we offer care, guidance and support to 111 elderly people.

Your main tasks

• Operational management of the entire kitchen team in the absence of the chef
• Autonomous and careful working method
• Assistance in the development of dietary recipes and internal recipes
• Open and active collaboration with other interfaces
• Close collaboration with the hierarchy and hotel management
• Compliance with hygiene rules and the HACCP concept
• Support for the training and guidance of kitchen apprentices
• Assistance in holding team meetings and weekly appointments with the hierarchy
• Support for the realization of the annual evaluation (MAG)
• Assistance in the recruitment and evaluation of new employees

Your profile

• Completed training as a cook CFC, preferably in collective catering and nutrition adapted to elderly people
• Additional training as a chef cuisinier BP is an asset
• Trainer and experience in the guidance of CFC cook apprentices
• Professional experience in dietary cuisine
• Ability for team training and modern management style
• Knowledge and experience of the recipe tool Pauli-s. Responsible for the creation of an internal collection of recipes
• Experience and creativity in à la carte gastronomy for the public restaurant Rosis Garten
• High service orientation as well as excellent manners orally and in writing
• Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience in budget management of goods costs
• You are committed, stress-resistant and flexible
• Joy of working with elderly people
• Availability for shifts on weekends and public holidays
