Supply Chain Manager and Operational Buyer 100% (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team in Winterthur, we are looking for a motivated personality.

In this diverse position, you are responsible for the efficient planning, control, and optimization of all processes along the supply chain. This includes operational and strategic purchasing, order processing, production preparation, and shipping, including transport management and exports. In doing so, the operational purchasing of raw materials and commercial goods is an essential part of your work.

Tasks

• Operational procurement of raw materials, commercial goods, and project-related parts (recording orders, monitoring quantities, deadlines, and prices, invoice controls, etc., of direct and indirect material)
• Independent negotiation of deliveries and services for our production site in German and English
• Support and development of local and international supplier relationships
• Optimizing the purchasing process and supplier selection as well as conducting annual supplier evaluations
• Ensuring quality requirements in procurement and with suppliers
• Planning and monitoring all logistical activities, including the coordination of transport and export processes, to ensure a smooth supply chain
• Close cooperation with other departments such as sales, AVOR, production, and logistics to ensure seamless coordination within the company
• Creation of reports and analyses for performance evaluation of the supply chain as well as development and implementation of improvement initiatives

In this function, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring material supply (operational and strategic)
• Ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and cost targets
• Ensuring master data quality in the ERP regarding products, purchasing, production, and shipping
• Development and implementation of supply chain optimizations and ensuring a smooth flow of all processes
• Identification of risks and implementation of measures to minimize risk in connection with the entire value chain
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, service providers, and other external partners
• Reporting to management on the performance of the supply chain and recommendations for improvements
• Compliance with all relevant regulations and laws in the area of supply chain management and customs clearance

Qualification

• Completed degree in the field of engineering, business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience and sound knowledge in the areas of purchasing, order processing, transport management, and supply chain management
• Good knowledge of materials and their processability (stainless steel, aluminum, alloys, plastics)
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving competence
• High communication skills and team orientation
• Resilience and the ability to work under pressure and set priorities
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems, and other relevant software tools
• Fluent in spoken and written German and English
