• Conduct sports examinations in accordance with UFSPO directives
• Conduct the army fitness test (TFEs) (warm-up phase, test phase) and record sports results
• Prepare sports equipment and check its proper functioning
• Handle tidying up after the TFEs (reporting defects, tidying the gym) and carry out any administrative tasks

The Training Command (Cdo Istr) is responsible for instruction within the Swiss Army -- from recruitment to general basic instruction to officer training -- for both militia and professional soldiers. It includes Higher Officer Training, Army Personnel, five training formations, the Training Center and the Women in the Army and diversity specialist service. One third of the approximately 2350 employees is active in civilian professions in scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sports fields and contributes to success together with professional soldiers.

The Swiss Army employs over 9000 employees within the framework of four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, in 110 locations throughout the national territory. Furthermore, it provides for new recruits, training apprentices in over 30 professions.
