The Bürgerliche Waisenhaus with its pedagogical network enables toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults to receive support and care tailored to their age and development. The inpatient offer includes a transit group, five children's groups, two youth groups, two external living groups, and a residential externat. For the transit group Kartause, we are looking for YOU from October 1, 2026 (or by agreement) as Social Educator: FH/HF (m/f/d) 60% In the open inpatient transit group Kartause of the Bürgerliche Waisenhaus Basel, we accompany adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 who are in a challenging life situation or acute crisis. We offer a safe place where they can calm down, develop new perspectives, and work out steps for a positive future. Your tasks: • You carry out comprehensive reference person work and the necessary documentation. • You design a structured daily routine and a positive group atmosphere together with the team. • You conduct a pedagogical needs assessment with the team within about 3-6 months and work closely with our liaison psychologist (UPKKJ) for test psychological assessments. • You work based on the principles of trauma pedagogy, life-world orientation, and standards of cooperative process design. • You maintain cooperation with parents, specialist agencies, and other cooperation partners.
