Who we are

Ryf AG specializes in the sale and maintenance of microscopes, optical systems, and metrology. Our solutions are used in industry, quality control, medtech, biology, research, and education. In doing so, we work with leading manufacturers such as Nikon and Olympus.

What it's about

• You maintain, clean, and repair stereo and biological microscopes, digital microscopes, as well as devices for simple metrology.
• You deliver systems, install them, and commission them at the customer's site.
• You analyze malfunctions systematically and perform defined repairs, functional tests, and simple calibration work.
• You create service, test, and measurement protocols and document your work promptly.
• You conduct basic training and explain the operation and care of the devices to our customers in an understandable way.
• You coordinate your assignments closely with our professional dispatch and the service team.

What you bring with you

• A basic technical education, for example in polymechanics, automation, electronics, mechatronics, or a comparable field – or equivalent practical experience
• Basic technical knowledge in mechanics or electronics
• Joy in precise work, structured troubleshooting, and direct customer contact
• Confident handling of Windows and digital work tools.
• Very good German skills and technical English; French is an advantage
• Driver's license category B as well as willingness for regular travel throughout Switzerland
• Independent, careful, and reliable way of working as well as willingness to learn new things

• A structured induction with accompanied practical assignments, so that after around six months you can carry out defined simple service tasks independently

Good to know

• Your base is Grenchen; your service assignments will lead you to customers throughout Switzerland.
• Overnight stays away from home are part of the function. Depending on the deployment planning, the extent fluctuates; viewed over the full year, approximately 30–50 % of working days are to be expected.
• During company holidays, you will participate in the on-call service according to the deployment planning.
• Occasional moving and positioning of devices is part of the job. We use suitable aids and comply with the applicable safety regulations.
