Strategic Buyer & Controller (m/f/d)

In this key role, you are responsible for the economic management of our product portfolio and for further developing our strategic procurement. You will work closely with product development, sales, logistics, finance, and quality assurance, as well as our international companies and suppliers.

Your tasks

Procurement and Supplier Management

• Development and implementation of procurement and sourcing strategies
• Conducting price, condition, and contract negotiations with suppliers as well as reviewing and optimizing existing tooling contracts
• Establishment, qualification, and further development of long-term supplier relationships
• Evaluation of offers, cost structures, and delivery conditions for new products and projects
• Regular visits to suppliers and production sites, especially in Europe and Asia
• Steering and evaluation of suppliers regarding quality, costs, reliability, and delivery times

Product Controlling and Inventory Management

• Creation and continuous further development of demand and procurement planning
• Responsibility for good product availability while simultaneously maintaining efficient inventory levels
• Analysis and reduction of excess stock as well as management of inventory turnover
• Identification of risks in the supply chain and development of suitable measures to ensure delivery capability
• Analysis of product and procurement costs as well as preparation of improvement suggestions for management decisions

Projects and Distribution Brands

• Optimization of procurement and supply chain processes, including freight and delivery costs
• Support during product launches and in the further development of existing ranges
• Responsibility for the identification, evaluation, and introduction of distribution brands with high potential that meaningfully complement the Solis range
• Establishment and maintenance of a resilient network to manufacturers, brand owners, and fulfillment partners in the area of Small Domestic Appliances
• Development and implementation of market entry, procurement, and distribution concepts for new distribution brands in cooperation with management and sales
• Ensuring that procurement activities comply with our quality, sustainability, and compliance requirements
• Functional and personnel leadership of the employees in procurement and demand planning

Your Profile

• Commercial basic training as well as further training or sound professional experience in procurement, product controlling, or supply chain management
• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in an international consumer goods environment
• Very good negotiation and supplier management skills
• Strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking as well as enjoyment of numbers and processes
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
• Confident communication and assertiveness in an international environment
• Very good German and English skills; other languages are an advantage
• Willingness for regular international travel
• An existing network to brands, manufacturers, and fulfillment partners in the area of Small Domestic Appliances is a clear advantage
