Through your expertise, you ensure that POLYCOM, mobile communication and special electronics function reliably at all times - in everyday life as well as in extraordinary situations. Your tasks <br /> • Ensure the smooth operation of the Bern cantonal police's telecommunication networks and the POLYCOM security radio network in the canton of Bern • Configuration, commissioning and operation of microwave transmission stations, routers/switches, base radio stations and automatic exchanges • Carrying out maintenance and preventive and corrective work on existing installations • Training and instruction of employees as well as external third parties in the field of communication systems • Ensure standby services for approx. 5 - 6 weeks per year <br /> Your profile <br /> • Basic technical training in electronics or computer science with several years of professional experience, further training as a technical specialist ES is an advantage • Solid knowledge of telecommunications, microwave transmission systems and transmission protocols and networks, experience in network environment • Ability to work independently, structured and precisely with high technical and manual skills • Resilient, flexible and service-oriented personality, accustomed to working at heights • Very good knowledge of German spoken and written, knowledge of French spoken • Driver's license cat.
