Head of Nursing

Your tasks • In this challenging leadership role, you will bear overall responsibility for the strategic, operational, personnel, organizational, and technical management of the nursing department at the Interdisciplinary Emergency Center in close partnership with the medical management. Together with your directly subordinate team leaders, you will lead the entire nursing and MPA team and create the conditions for high-quality, patient-centered, and economical care. • You will ensure a smooth emergency operation and, together with the medical service and other internal and external partners, ensure close interprofessional cooperation. Through your involvement in clinical service operations, you will remain close to patient care and the needs of your employees. In doing so, you will promote a culture of appreciation, mutual trust, and continuous development. • You will create optimal conditions for the training of students in the postgraduate study program in emergency nursing (NDS HF) and, together with your management team, accompany the technical development of all employees. • Your tasks include planning, controlling, and further developing processes, structures, and resources, as well as ensuring high nursing quality while complying with legal requirements, internal guidelines, and business objectives. You will be responsible for quality development and assurance, participate in budget, investment, and staffing planning processes, and represent the nursing department of the Interdisciplinary Emergency Center in cross-departmental projects, working groups, and strategic bodies. • In addition, you will actively shape the future of the Interdisciplinary Emergency Center and make a significant contribution to the further development of modern emergency medicine and emergency nursing. Your profile • Completed training as a Dipl. Expert in emergency nursing, postgraduate study program HF. • Several years of professional experience in an emergency department of a Swiss acute care hospital. • Several years of leadership experience and, if possible, a completed or ongoing leadership training, or willingness to complete such training. • Pronounced understanding of organizational, strategic, and business management contexts. • High social and self-competence as well as an appreciative, transparent, and binding leadership attitude. • Structured, solution-oriented, and decision-friendly approach to work with pronounced coordination and organizational skills. • Enjoyment of interprofessional cooperation and active participation in change and development processes. • Motivation to further develop the future of the Interdisciplinary Emergency Center together with your team and set new impulses.
