Tasks
Review and coordinate funding applications: You review funding applications in the field of Life Sciences research cooperations, coordinate the application review with the research advisory board selected by the Government Council, and support the other funding areas with the application review.

Manage contracts and reports: You coordinate contract signings, review proofs of use, milestone and final reports, and ensure compliant, timely reporting by the funded research institutions in the research cooperations funding area.

Actively shape processes: You provide impulses for our work: You further develop processes and standards, ensure clean execution according to IKS, and have a fine sense for weaknesses - so that science and industry can rely on us.

Further develop funding areas: You help shape the substantive and legal design of the research cooperations funding area, support the further development of the entire Basel Location Package, and take national and international developments into account.

Support and advise: You are the direct contact person for universities, research institutions, university hospitals and clinics, as well as companies, and advise them on all questions regarding the funding criteria and the specific funding applications.

Profile
Experience: You are familiar with the Life Sciences sector from at least 10 years of professional experience or have personally participated in research cooperations in this environment. Experience in managing funding programs is an advantage.

Personality: You convince through high integrity, a confident appearance, as well as strong analytical and conceptual skills. Service-oriented and at the same time decisive, you maintain an overview even with complex matters.

Education: You have a higher education in law, economics, or natural sciences as well as additional training in project and stakeholder management or a comparable qualification.

Language: Very good German and English skills in speaking and writing, business fluent including technical terminology - applications in the field of research cooperations are consistently submitted in English.
