As part of the development of our activities, we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer specialized in electronics to strengthen our Supply Chain & Manufacturing Units team.

As a true quality referent for our electronic suppliers, you will intervene from the product development phases through to serial production in order to guarantee the compliance, robustness, and performance of the electronic components and sub-assemblies integrated into our mechatronic solutions.

You will operate in an international environment in contact with the Purchasing, Quality, Industrialization, Electronic R&D teams and strategic suppliers.

Your mission ###

Within the Supplier Quality team, you are the quality referent for a strategic portfolio of electronic suppliers. You ensure the robustness of electronic components and sub-assemblies throughout the product life cycle, from development to serial production. The activities described below are taken directly from the Supplier Quality Engineer job description.

In this context, you will be required to:

• Manage the quality of a panel of electronic component and assembly suppliers.
• Participate in the selection, evaluation, and qualification of new suppliers.
• Support product developments by driving APQP processes and PPAP validations.
• Conduct process and system audits at suppliers according to applicable quality standards.
• Participate in feasibility reviews and the launch of new projects.
• Verify the control of electronic manufacturing processes and associated control methods.
• Handle supplier complaints and drive problem-solving processes (8D, QRQC, root cause analysis).
• Technically challenge suppliers to guarantee the identification of root causes and the implementation of effective corrective actions.
• Monitor quality performance indicators and build the associated progress plans.
• Collaborate closely with the Purchasing, Quality, Industrialization, Electronic R&D and Supply Chain teams in order to secure projects and serial production.

Your skills ###

• Solid knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Good understanding of electronic components, electronic boards (PCB/PCBA) and assembly processes.
• Mastery of automotive quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D.
• Experience in industrial supplier management.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and VDA 6.3 standards.
• Ability to conduct supplier audits.
• Mastery of problem-solving and root cause analysis tools.
• Ability to analyze electronic failures and to communicate with technical experts.
• Professional English allowing for exchange with international suppliers.
• Knowledge of electronic manufacturing technologies (SMT, soldering, conformal coating, ICT/FCT tests, AOI).
• Experience in the automotive, power electronics or mechatronics sectors.
• VDA 6.3 Auditor certification.

Your background ###

Engineering degree (HES, EPF or equivalent) in electronics, embedded systems, microtechnology or industrial quality.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a demanding industrial environment.
Proven experience in supplier quality, project quality or electronic development.

Direct experience at an electronic board or electronic component manufacturer is a real advantage.
