Your responsibility :

• In your role, you support the Head of Accounting of the Staatsanwaltschaft in her daily management work and represent her in her absence.
• At the same time, you are yourself part of the small team within the Zentralen Dienste of the Staatsanwaltschaft, which is responsible, among other things, for the entire collection system. This includes, in particular, the recording of incoming payments as well as the reminder and debt collection procedures. In addition, you support the accounting team in all arising administrative work and have daily (telephone) contact with persons liable for payment.

Your background :

• Thanks to a commercial or equivalent education, practical knowledge in accounting, leadership experience, IT application skills and very good written and oral expression in German, you will quickly find your way in your new task.
• Even if the telephone rings several times in a row, you keep your cool and with the help of your oral foreign language skills (French and/or Italian and/or English) you can communicate with most of the calling persons.
• You contribute an important part to the work performance of a small department by working independently and completing your work expeditiously and so accurately that you can take responsibility for it at any time.
• Integrity and confidentiality are absolutely essential for this position.
• With your personality, you enrich a harmonious and helpful team and with your work attitude, you realize the basic idea of the Zentralen Dienste, to support the entire authority and its employees.

Staatsanwaltschaft

The Staatsanwaltschaft Basel-Landschaft is affiliated with the Sicherheitsdirektion of the Kanton Basel-Landschaft and consists of four main departments, the Zentralen Dienste and the Stab, and conducts all criminal proceedings in cases of crimes, offenses and contraventions against adult persons. It files and represents the indictment before the competent court and issues penal orders, dismissal orders and non-prosecution orders. Additionally, the Staatsanwaltschaft provides national and international legal assistance in criminal matters.
