August 2026 Job description Affoltern am Albis - the first city in the Canton of Zürich without a parliament - is the regional center between Zürich and Zug with around 12,000 inhabitants. Around 1000 children attend kindergarten and primary school in our three school units. In the day structures, we offer professional school-supplementary childcare. A total of five locations are cared for. The employees offer the children lunch and professional care as well as familiar and varied leisure activities. To complement our team, we are looking for a Specialist in Childcare EFZ as of 17. August 2026 (start of school year 2026/27) for around 30 hours per week (during 39 school weeks) Job description Care of the children over midday and during the afternoon Active and independent implementation of leisure activities in consultation with the team Cooperation with parents and teachers Participation in meetings of the childcare team, internal continuing education and parent meetings Flexible after-school care assignments in other locations Requirement profile Pedagogical qualification according to VSG (Volksschulgesetz) Good German language skills Professional experience in family-supplementary childcare is an advantage Motivated, open, resilient personality with a positive view of people Flexibility, independence as well as very good team and communication skills Joy in dealing with parents and children from different cultures Good IT user skills We offer Varied, versatile and demanding activity A multicultural, exciting environment Competent support by employees, site management and general management Modern employment conditions within the framework of municipal legislation and continuing education opportunities Information will be gladly provided by the General Manager of Day Structures, Ms. Silvia Urech at 043 322 60 16 or silvia.urech@stadtaffoltern.ch.
