Plant Operator Cable Production (100%)

For our client, an established and internationally active industrial company based in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, we are looking for an engaged reinforcement for production, effective immediately or by arrangement. In this dynamic role, you will take on a key role in the manufacturing process and contribute significantly to the characteristically high quality of the products. Plant Operator Cable Production (100%)

Tasks:

• You operate and set up the production systems independently according to precise specifications.
• You carry out the rewinding process, the spooling, as well as the material and container change independently.
• You monitor the ongoing production, document the processes, and take corrective action in the event of deviations.
• You resolve occurring system malfunctions quickly and carry out minor maintenance work.
• You assist in the recording of production data, the maintenance of the master sheet, and the optimization of processes.
• You actively support the operational Lean Management processes.
• You always keep your workplace clean, tidy, and adhere to the established 5S standards.
• You carry out routine maintenance tasks independently according to the maintenance plan.
• You control your orders via the MES control system and record all relevant manufacturing data therein.

Qualifications

• You have completed vocational training as an Anlagenführer EFZ or a basic mechanical education (e.g., as a production mechanic or polymechanic).
• You have several years of practice in plant operation within length production, ideally in cable manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
• You have a strong technical understanding, work precisely, and set the highest quality standards for your own work.
• You are versatile and are characterized by a quick comprehension.
• You are a reliable, resilient team player with a high level of commitment.
• You have very good German skills in spoken and written form.
• You are proficient in handling the PC and bring experience with ERP solutions.
• You are willing to work in a 3-shift model.
