This department ensures the care of female and male patients, both in elective and emergency cases. It represents a center of excellence, not only Swiss, but also European in several fields and in several of its surgical specialties. The Service de chirurgie viscérale takes care of adult female and male patients suffering from surgical conditions of the digestive tract organs such as the stomach, pancreas, intestine or colon, whether they require surgical intervention or not. Research Epidemiological Biostatistician - 75% To strengthen the existing team, we are looking for a research epidemiological biostatistician to join the Service de chirurgie viscérale and contribute, for a period of three years, to the national epidemiological study << Missed Opportunities for Ovarian Cancer Prevention During Digestive Surgery: A Nationwide Epidemiological Study >>, funded by Swiss Cancer Research (KFS-). You are attached to the project manager and in close contact with the Registre Genevois des Tumeurs, you ensure both the clinical and epidemiological aspects of the position and autonomously lead the data management and statistical analyses of the project, up to their scientific valorization. You develop, manage and validate the research databases of the project. You are in charge of extracting, preparing and analyzing data from Swiss tumor registries and hospital databases. You perform statistical and epidemiological analyses (standardized incidence rates, survival analyses) and participate in the methodological design of the studies. You contribute to the drafting of protocols, ethical requests, scientific reports and publications, and collaborate with the various academic and institutional partners of the project. Qualifications You hold a Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology or in an equivalent relevant field. You possess solid knowledge in biostatistics and epidemiology, as well as in health data analysis (survival analysis, standardization, exploitation of registries and hospital databases). You master a research statistical software (R, SAS, Stata or Python) as well as good practices of reproducible code. You have a good command of French and English, both oral and written. Knowledge of German is an asset. You have at least two years of experience in a similar position or in the field of statistics applied to health, ideally with registry data or large health databases. You demonstrate rigor, autonomy, analytical spirit, organization and an ability to work in a team in a multidisciplinary environment.
