The Verband Schweizerischer Kantonalbanken (VSKB) is the umbrella organization of the 24 Kantonalbanken – one of the most significant banking groups in Switzerland. We advocate for a strong and diverse Swiss financial center and represent the common interests of the Kantonalbanken. At the interface of the financial market, politics, and the public, we actively shape future-oriented topics. At the same time, we strengthen the radiance of the common umbrella brand of the Kantonalbanken and promote their positioning as a competent, responsible banking group through targeted engagement. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a politically interested, engaging, and communication-confident personality who quickly grasps financial market-political topics, prepares them appropriately for the target audience, and professionally represents the VSKB in exchange with internal and external stakeholders. Your tasks • Responsibility for important financial center topics • Developing and writing political positions, arguments, and statements • Monitoring and accompanying political processes • Writing social media posts • Representing the VSKB towards our members and externally • Conception and organization of political events • Building and maintaining networks in business and politics Your profile • University degree in the fields of economics, law, politics, or communication • At least 3 years of experience in political work (association, company, administration, or politics) • Enthusiasm for politics, regulatory processes, and the Swiss financial center • Ability to quickly grasp complex content and convey it in a target-group-oriented manner • Very good oral and written communication skills (French language skills are an advantage) What awaits you • Extremely exciting and varied activity at the interface between politics and the financial industry • Taking on topic responsibility and representing the VSKB towards politics, the federal administration, and others • Dedicated and motivated team where you can set your own accents • Flexible working conditions (workplaces in the headquarters Basel, Bern, Zürich and home office)
