Qualified Occupational Therapist / at 60-80% / in permanent contract Job description Occupational therapy aims at the maintenance, acquisition, or recovery of optimal autonomy in daily life, professional life, and leisure, with the greatest possible safety. It acts according to the potential and constraints of the person's environment. Based in temporary reception units or in the home care branches distributed across the canton, the occupational therapist provides services autonomously, respecting the client's lifestyle, beliefs, values, and culture. He/she works in interdisciplinarity and interprofessionality, respecting the mission and objectives of the institution. Your missions and responsibilities • Provide, in collaboration and synergy with the multidisciplinary team, upon medical prescription, occupational therapy services to people limited in their ability to act by a disease, an accident, or age-related problems. • Promote the development and/or maintenance of the patient's independence and autonomy in activities of daily living, through re-education and rehabilitation measures. • Coordinate the group and community activities of the unit. Qualifications • Occupational therapy diploma • Red Cross recognition • Right of practice (for the Canton of Genève) or steps already in progress • Diverse experience of at least two years in a hospital, EMS, or home setting • Experience in facilitating groups for therapeutic purposes • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and autonomous manner • Good knowledge of the socio-sanitary fabric and the Genevan aid and care network will be an asset • Possess a driver's license.
