We are recruiting mainly for our Geneva center, while also looking for teachers for our Lausanne center. Your mission ### You will provide physics lessons, individually or in small groups, to students from the Cycle d'orientation, collèges and gymnases, as well as other secondary II education (Student age 8-19 years...), by adapting your teaching to the level, needs, and objectives of each person. Your main responsibilities ### • Provide physics lessons adapted to the level and needs of each student. • Support students with their homework, their preparation for assessments, exams, the Swiss maturité, and the French baccalauréat. • Explain scientific concepts in a clear, concrete, and accessible manner. • Strengthen foundations, develop working methods, and scientific reasoning. • Identify student difficulties and propose personalized pedagogical support. • Prepare students for the requirements of Swiss school programs and, where applicable, French programs. • Foster autonomy, self-confidence, and the academic success of students. Profile sought ### We are looking for a serious person, pedagogical, and passionate about the transmission of knowledge. The person must have: ### • A Bachelor's, a Master's or an equivalent university education in physics or a closely related field. • An excellent command of physics from the Cycle d'orientation, collèges, gymnases, and secondary II. • Experience in teaching or academic support. • An excellent command of French, both spoken and written. (Native language) • Good knowledge of Swiss school programs. Knowledge of French programs is a real asset. • Excellent contact with children, adolescents, and young adults. • Patience, pedagogy, and a genuine taste for transmission. • A valid work authorization or permit in Switzerland. • A clean criminal record Workplace ### Recruitment concerns our two centers: • Genève *(priority recruitment)* • Lausanne Hours ### Lessons are offered during the following slots: • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 17h00 - 19h00 • Wednesday: 14h00 - 18h15 • Sunday: 12h00 - 16h15 Availability for all these slots is desired.
