System Engineer - Project Manager

This is your contribution • Specification and implementation of important components of the IT infrastructure, including HPC clusters, containerization solutions and cloud services • Definition and provision of application and system environments on Windows and Linux platforms, taking into account the specific requirements of the scientific users • Technical project manager in a complex and heterogeneous environment • Cooperation with research groups to solve complex problems What makes you unique • Higher education, ideally in the IT field, or an equivalently recognized education with sound experience in the IT field, supplemented by training in project management • Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure as well as the Linux/Windows operating systems. Good knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or AHV • Experience with workload managers (e.g. SLURM) and high-performance computers (HPC).
