The Department for Political Rights plans and organizes the federal and cantonal elections and votes in the Canton St.Gallen in cooperation with various partners. We are looking for as of 1 December 2026 or by arrangement a Specialist E-Voting (m/f/d) Workload: 50-80% Work location: St.Gallen What awaits you • You bear responsibility for the E-Voting polling rounds in the Canton St.Gallen and ensure compliance with legal, technical and security-relevant requirements • You work closely with the Specialist Voting-Services position and actively participate in the operational implementation of the E-Voting polling rounds, particularly in system installations, setting up laptops, configuring polling rounds, conducting tests and operating the productive polling rounds • You help shape the further development of E-Voting and bring cantonal requirements into the relevant committees • You are the central contact person for E-Voting in the Canton St.Gallen and ensure cooperation with internal and external stakeholders • You support the department as needed with further projects in the field of digitalization of political rights What distinguishes you • University degree (FH/University) in a relevant field as well as ideally experience in the environment of elections and votes • Interest in political processes • Good digital competencies and willingness to familiarize yourself with technical topics • Very structured, precise and reliable way of working and ability to act calmly in critical situations • Confident and audience-appropriate communication with various stakeholders in a politically sensitive environment (very good German skills in speaking and writing, French skills an advantage) • Experience in leading or coordinating complex projects Readiness for assignments outside regular working hours as well as flexibility in work planning What we offer • A versatile and responsible activity and the opportunity to actively participate in the further development of digital democracy • Participation in a committed team • Cooperation with broad stakeholders at municipal, cantonal and national levels • Modern working time models and attractive continuing education opportunities • Workplace in the Regierungsgebäude in the Altstadt of St.Gallen Ready for the next step?
