This department provides care to female and male patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological, and oto-rhino-laryngological pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to the rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation). The objective of the department is to lead the patient population toward recovery of their autonomy through teaching, support, and outpatient follow-up. It ensures the operation of patients as well as their accompaniment, in order to promote an early return home. In the same vein, outpatient care is also prioritized and operative activity optimized, to facilitate accessibility to care within a reasonable timeframe. The Service de neurologie provides diagnostic and therapeutic care for female and male patients suffering from a neurological condition, often in collaboration with other Services such as neuroradiology, neurosurgery, neurorehabilitation, and the internal medicine specialty Services. Job Description ## You will evolve in two sectors at once, both inpatient and outpatient, with agility across the 3 schedules. You are responsible for welcoming and caring for epileptic female and male patients of all ages (from children to the elderly), as part of a pre-surgical assessment of epilepsy or in the performance of EEG examinations. You provide specific autonomous care and perform delegated medical acts. You manage emergency situations. You accompany the patient population as well as their entourage in the aftermath of epilepsy disease to prepare for possible surgery by relying on therapeutic education. You work in close collaboration with the medical team. Qualifications ## You benefit from a Bachelor HES in nursing or an equivalent recognized title by the Swiss Red Cross. You benefit from a successful experience of at least 5 years as a nurse. You are interested in the care of epileptic female and male patients of all ages (from children to the elderly), hospitalized for monitoring and close surveillance. Your clinical judgment is developed and you know how to question your professional practice. You are rigorous with a mastery of technical gestures, institutional protocols, and acute situations. You have good stress management and a sense of adaptation during emergency situations. You establish a respectful relationship, listening to female and male patients and relatives, knowing how to adapt your communication to different situations. You uphold the relational values of interprofessional teamwork. You demonstrate rigor, flexibility, versatility, and are open to change. You are ready to participate in the continuing education offered by the medical team in order to progress and update your knowledge.
