Scheuchzer SA specializes in the mechanized maintenance of railway tracks. Since 1947, we have designed, built, operated, and maintained our own machines in order to meet the requirements of railway networks in Switzerland and Europe.

In order to strengthen our IT department, we are looking for a:

Systems Administrator & IT Support (M/F) - 100% Fixed-term contract

for a long-term mission (end of 2027):

Your mission ##

Integrated into the IT department, you contribute to the availability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure. Your activity combines systems administration, advanced technical support, and continuous improvement of our IT environment.

You will notably be required to:

• Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments as well as our VMware virtualized infrastructure;
• Manage key infrastructure services such as Active Directory / Entra ID, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and certificates;
• Administer backup solutions and participate in restoration tests as well as disaster recovery and business continuity exercises;
• Ensure the administration of the Microsoft 365 environment, notably Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams;
• Participate in the management and supervision of the network, VPN access, and various security devices;
• Handle level 2 and 3 incidents and support requests;
• Administer and optimize Atlassian tools, notably Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence;
• Identify automation possibilities, optimize IT processes, and maintain technical documentation;
• Provide technical support to other team members and share your knowledge.

Your profile ##

• You hold a CFC in computer science or an equivalent training, ideally completed by a federal diploma or recognized certifications;
• You benefit from several years of experience in systems administration and IT support;
• You have solid knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments;
• You master VMware virtualized environments and possess experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam and/or Dell PowerProtect Data Manager;
• You have good network knowledge and are comfortable with LAN/WAN environments, firewalls, and VPN;
• You are familiar with the Atlassian suite, particularly Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence;
• You master PowerShell; knowledge of Bash and/or Python is an asset;
• Autonomous and rigorous, you know how to organize your priorities in a multitasking environment;
• You have a sense of service and appreciate knowledge sharing and supporting users;
• You master French and have good knowledge of German as well as technical English.
