Coder/Operations Employee (80% shift rotation)

Introduction

For our client, die Schweizerische Post, we are looking for reliable and physically resilient employees as a Coder/in in the Paketzentrum Frauenfeld.

In this role, you are responsible for processing and correcting misrouted packages. An important part of the activity is the fast and error-free recording of addresses on the PC - touch typing is therefore required. Additionally, you assist with unloading, sorting, distributing, and loading packages and bulky goods shipments.

• Function: Coder/in Paketzentrum
• Workload: Part-time or full-time, depending on the operating unit
• Contract type: Temporary
• Entry: Immediately or by arrangement

Tasks

• Recognize misrouted packages and re-label or correctly code them
• Type in address data of packages and record it in the system
• Unload packages from swap bodies (rail/truck containers) and roll boxes
• Place packages on conveyor belts and feed them into the correct sorting process
• Load and distribute bulky goods shipments
• Manually load packages into swap bodies and roll boxes
• Perform general sorting and loading work in the Paketzentrum
• Adhere to specifications regarding quality, safety, and work processes

Profile

• Touch typing on the PC is mandatory
• Good physical resilience and readiness for standing and physical work
• Careful and reliable way of working
• Good comprehension and precise way of working when recording and labeling addresses
• Readiness for 1-2 shifts
• Good German skills
• Experience in logistics, package processing, or production is an advantage, but not mandatory
• Readiness for flexible assignments depending on work volume
