Summary

? We are currently recruiting a Databricks Consultant / Data Engineer to support one of our client's teams.

Location: 100% teleworking

Contract type: Freelance / Contract

Duration: Minimum 12 months

Daily rate: 300 CHF/day (fixed rate)

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Databricks.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT processes for structured and semi-structured data.
• Develop data transformations with Python, PySpark and SQL.
• Optimize Spark jobs, data models and queries for performance and cost control.
• Implement and manage Delta Lake architectures and data quality processes.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand data needs.
• Ensure the reliability, security and documentation of data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required skills

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with solid hands-on expertise in Databricks.
• Good knowledge of Apache Spark / PySpark, Python and SQL.
• Experience with data lakes, Delta Lake, ETL/ELT and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Azure and Azure Databricks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git and DevOps is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Professional level in English.

• Fully remote position.
• Long-term mission with a minimum commitment of one year.
• Fixed daily rate: 300 CHF/day.
