December 2026 or by arrangement Work location: Gampelen The Justizvollzugsanstalt Witzwil executes sentences and measures on 184 adult men in open penal execution as well as in administrative detention under immigration law. The inmates are guided and promoted in various professions in agriculture, trade, and supply according to work-agogic principles. In penal execution, around 140 employees work consistently towards the goal of socialization and reduction of recidivism of the prisoners. Production goals and execution goals do not compete, but rather complement each other. Your tasks As a work master, you primarily maintain and repair machines and support the other specialist departments of our mechanical workshops. In the absence of our workshop manager, you take over the leadership in the agricultural machinery specialist department. At your workplace, you lead and promote a group of inmates according to work-agogic principles. You work interdisciplinarily with other work masters and execution managers. Your profile You have training as an Agricultural Machinery Mechanic or training in a related profession with a federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ) and ideally possess several years of professional experience. Working with inmates, including those from other cultural backgrounds, is a challenge and an incentive for you at the same time. As a resilient, stable, and capable of criticism personality, you keep a cool head even in delicate situations. You enjoy working in a team and are interested and open to new things. It is important to you to regularly apply IT skills (Office) and to guide the inmates in their work, also in an agogic manner.
