Senior Project Manager (w/m/d) Claims Transformation & Agentic AI

In Claims Transformation, we are realizing an ambitious undertaking. The core of this next stage is the use of Agentic AI - AI agents that independently manage, regulate, and control a claim from notification through coverage verification to payment [RT2.1], while working together with humans within clearly defined guardrails.

We are not looking for classic project management that processes an IT rollout according to plan. We are looking for a personality who understands how new technologies are introduced and implemented, thereby driving the redesign and adaptation of processes and achieving measurable business benefit.

What you achieve ##

• You lead the project as Co-Lead for the introduction of Agentic AI in claims handling - implementation in iterative expansion steps.
• You are responsible for the automation roadmap in the claims environment and significantly drive the expansion of end-to-end straight-through processing in mass claims
• You work closely with claims specialists, IT architecture, and technology partners to integrate AI agents with clear decision boundaries into redesigned processes
• You ensure that humans and agents work together meaningfully in the claims process (Human-in-the-Loop) and that compliance and quality requirements are met at all times
• You prepare decision templates and represent the project in the Claims Transformation steering committee as well as towards the executive management
• You accompany the cultural change in the claims team - from classic case processing towards modern claims settlement in cooperation with AI agents

What you bring ##

• Several years of experience in leading complex digitalization and/or IT projects with a transformation character, ideally in the claims or insurance environment
• Very good knowledge of classic and agile process models
• Daily use of AI and basic way of working with AI support
• Sound understanding of Agentic AI architectures (orchestrator/sub-agent models, LLMs, APIs) and their use in operational processes
• Strong sense for governance, risk, and compliance when using AI in a regulated environment, as well as a clear understanding of Responsible AI principles (transparency, traceability, fairness)
• Strong communication skills to prepare technically complex matters in an understandable way for the specialist department, IT, and executive management
• Engaging and convincing personality
• Proficient German language skills, good English language skills
