Das Bildungszentrum Emme (bzemme) is a cantonal educational institution with locations in Burgdorf, Langnau i. E. and Oeschberg near Koppigen. Our offering includes bridge offers, basic school education, a teaching workshop, and educational courses in Higher Vocational Education. Around 250 teachers and employees are jointly committed to strong vocational training in the region. The Brückenangebote department supports the vocational preparation of young people with suitable offers and accompanies their professional integration. Tasks ###

In team teaching, you teach 14 - 16 young people during a school year in the subjects of experiential education, mathematics, language, general education, and vocational choice; additionally, you take on the role of class teacher. In addition to subject competence, the acquisition and promotion of social competence and self-efficacy is the central goal of a BVS Plus year. You supervise and accompany young people in their vocational choice, support and help with the search for trial apprenticeship companies and with writing applications. As a reference person, you are the contact point for some young people regarding school, professional, but also private problems. You are in contact with the legal guardians and specialists (CMBB, Sozialamt-), inform and advise.

Requirements ###

You are flexible, patient, resilient, and able to lead and promote young people in difficult situations in a benevolent, empathetic, but also consistent manner. You enjoy working in a team (regular and close exchange, team teaching) and have an open basic attitude. In addition to your education, you may also bring experience from the private sector and/or possess additional training in the fields of special education, experiential education, social pedagogy, or counseling.
