Your contribution

• Ensuring stable application operation through monitoring of events and system states as well as through the analysis and rectification of malfunctions using monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Performing database analyses and evaluations using SQL as well as providing support during error analysis.
• Configuration, optimization, maintenance, and monitoring of application monitoring.
• Taking over 3rd Level Support, including identification of causes and solutions.
• Working in a cross-group DevOps team as well as coordination with platform operators, Change Management, development, and other stakeholders.
• Optimization of existing operational and support processes, including through AI-supported tools and automation.

What makes you unique

• University degree in computer science, business informatics, or comparable technical training.
• Several years of experience in Application Management, DevOps, or IT operations of business-critical applications.
• Sound knowledge of Linux, container, and OpenShift platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, GitOps, and automated deployments.
• Basic knowledge of Java Spring/EE applications and technical error analysis is an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of an official language as well as good knowledge of a second official language and English.

In a nutshell

The Directorate for Work of SECO is part of the federal competence center for all core issues of labor market policy, labor placement, unemployment insurance, and labor market statistics. The IT department for Unemployment Insurance (ALV) Switzerland is responsible for the digitalization of business processes as well as the operation of the business applications of the unemployment fund as well as the labor placement (öAV) of job seekers and their reintegration measures into the labor market.

With AVAM, we are taking over a central business application into our own DevOps teams. You will work closely with the specialist department and development, are responsible for stable operation, and actively shape further development.
