You love your profession. You listen before you adjust, you keep an overview when things get hectic, and you want not just to participate, but to build something. Then we should get to know each other.

At CHALON in Laufen, I am not looking for a function for our hearing consultation, but a personality. Someone who leads and develops this area together with me, at eye level and with real leeway, and who fits us as a person.

Who we are
CHALON has existed since 1935, in the middle of the old town of Laufen. We are a family business with three shops: one for optics, one for hearing consultation, and one for watches, jewelry, and wedding rings. Ten specialists work here, and we all know each other by our first names. Many of our customers have been coming to us for decades, some families already in the third generation. They come because we provide honest advice and take our time. Not tied to any manufacturer, without sales pressure.
The hearing consultation was opened by me in 2025. The rooms are new, the measurement technology is current, and we have seven hearing aid brands in stock; we order others as needed. Until recently, I managed the department alone, as owner and hearing acoustician. Now it is growing, and I want to put it into hands that will advance it with me.
We are a team of different personalities, young, well-coordinated, and modern. What connects us is mutual respect and the desire to achieve more than average. We love what we do, and we want to get better, for ourselves and for our customers. That is why further education is not an extra for us, but a fixed part of the work.

What you will do with us
You will take over the management of the hearing consultation and build it up further together with me. Which devices we carry, what we purchase, how we plan appointments, and how we work – we discuss and decide this together. I manage three shops and am not in the hearing consultation every day. Therefore, I need someone who decides independently and stands by it, even when I am not in the house. Your ideas are welcome, and if they are good, we will implement them. As the department grows, you will build your own team and train apprentices.
Professionally, you will remain right in the middle of it. You advise people who have often hesitated for a long time before coming to us. You perform hearing tests, adjust hearing aids, and check with measurements whether everything is truly correct. You accompany these people over years and experience how they can participate in conversation at the family table again. That is the most beautiful part of our profession. Documentation is done in Amparex, billing is with IV, AHV, and other agencies.

Who fits us
You have the federal certificate of proficiency (eidgenössischer Fachausweis) as a hearing system specialist, you are a master hearing acoustician (Hörakustikmeister/in), or you have an equivalent qualification. You know adjustment, measurements, and service from practice. But above all, what is important to us is who you are. You treat colleagues and customers with respect and humanity. You take responsibility instead of passing it on, and you stay calm when it gets hectic. You do not settle for average and want to develop further, professionally and as a person. And you are not looking for a temporary stop, but for a place where you want to stay and build something. You speak and write German well. Swiss German is a plus.

What defines us
Five weeks of vacation, a thirteenth month's salary, and a salary that matches the responsibility – this is a matter of course for us and needs no big words. What really distinguishes us from others is the way we work together.
We are independent. No manufacturer and no corporation dictates to us what we must sell. You advise as you deem correct. We only find the best for the customer if we listen to them. The same applies to the team. I don't just listen to the customer, but also to my employees, and your opinion counts with us, even if it is uncomfortable. Between you and me, there is no floor full of offices, but a door that stands open. Decisions are made quickly because the paths are short and we talk directly to each other. We arrange part-time or full-time according to your life. And Monday is free.
