The Volksschulamt is responsible for the compulsory school sector of the Canton of Zürich. As Head of Finance Staff, you will take on a key role in the financial management of the Volksschulamt.

Your area of responsibility ###

you are responsible for the finances of the Volksschulamt, from budgeting and four-year planning (KEF) to the annual financial statements and controlling. This includes the allocation of state contributions, particularly in the area of special and hospital schooling. You advise the head of the office on financial matters, monitor and optimize finance-relevant processes, and maintain exchange with other offices within the Bildungsdirektion and the Cantonal administration. Together with your team, you are the central contact point for all financial questions, both internally within the office and for our partners in the school sector. In doing so, you combine practical proximity and service orientation with correct and responsible action. As a member of the executive management, you represent the Volksschulamt and the Bildungsdirektion in working groups and projects.

Your profile ###

you have a degree from a university or university of applied sciences as well as several years of leadership experience. In addition to very good financial knowledge, you have a flair for legal issues and are familiar with public administration. You are experienced and confident in dealing with various stakeholders. Analytical thinking, a structured and cooperative approach, as well as clear, stylish, and binding communication characterize you, as does a humorous, uncomplicated nature that ensures the acceptance of all those involved. Your cooperative leadership style creates orientation and promotes the self-responsibility of your employees. You approach new developments openly and actively help to shape change.
