Founded in Lausanne in 1843, the Fondation Asile des aveugles includes the Hôpital ophtalmique Jules-Gonin, university ophthalmology service, a research center, the Centre pédagogique pour élèves handicapés de la vue (CPHV), the social service, rehabilitation and low vision, and the médico-social establishment Clair-Soleil.

More than 650 collaborators mobilize every day in the service of visual health to offer diagnostic, treatment, and support services to people affected by their vision.

In order to complete our team, we are looking for a

Low Vision Occupational Therapist ###

Your mission

• * Ensure the development, maintenance, and compensation of our clients' visual capacities with the aim of promoting their autonomy as well as their social integration.
• Evaluate visual capacities and the level of independence
• Advise, adapt, and design, within a multidisciplinary framework, optical means, auxiliary means, and environmental adaptations (lighting, layouts)
• Perform evaluations at home, in professional, school, or public environments and propose adapted arrangements
• Guarantee the completion and quality of administrative work, the establishment of statistics, etc.

Your assets

• * Bachelor in occupational therapy
• Specialist training in rehabilitation in the field of visual impairment
• Team spirit and ability to work in an interdisciplinary network
• Comfortable with IT tools
• Creativity in the therapeutic approach
• Interpersonal skills, patience, and tact with the client
• Driver's license: frequent travel outdoors
