Consultant Focus Water Management

ARENENBERG is the competence center for agriculture in Thurgau. To this end, Arenenberg operates an agricultural school, a consulting service, and the school and experimental farms at Arenenberg, in Güttingen and in Tänikon. Due to growing tasks, we are looking for a consultant for agricultural water use in the resource project Integral Water Management, fixed-term until 31 December 2030.

Your tasks

• You develop fundamentals for improving water supply and water use on agricultural holdings.
• You accompany agricultural holdings in the implementation of measures for efficient water use.
• You examine the effect of the measures according to scientific standards and evaluate the data.
• You maintain equipment for measuring effects in the field.
• You assist with reporting and create specialist publications for knowledge transfer.

Your profile

• You have a university degree in the field of agricultural sciences or an equivalent subject area.
• You have experience in plant production or in hydrology.
• You bring a high degree of customer orientation.
• You appreciate the practical implementation of conceptual ideas.
• You enjoy working independently and in a network with contact persons from consulting, industry, and research.
