The Finance and Controlling department processes the social burden equalization, in which the expenses of the municipalities and the canton are settled. In addition, it audits the social assistance accounts of the municipalities and the financial statements of organizations in the social sector and, within the office, bears responsibility for transparent figures as well as requirement-compliant instruments in the planning, implementation, and reporting processes of the Directorate of Health, Social Affairs and Integration of the Canton of Bern.
