The position is being created as part of an internal development within our purchasing team. In this exciting and versatile role, you are responsible for the development of a market-oriented and demand-oriented outdoor textile assortment. In doing so, you consistently implement the purchasing strategy, further develop the brand and private label portfolio, and contribute significantly to the economic success of the category. Additionally, you lead a team of two employees. Your area of responsibility: Development and implementation of demand-oriented purchasing planning for the Outdoor Textile area Responsibility for supplier management as well as goods procurement at optimal conditions Achievement of defined goals regarding turnover, margin, gross profit, price reductions, and inventory turnover Conducting price, contract, and condition negotiations with national and international suppliers Planning of goods receipts, sales, reductions, and reorders Development and further development of the brand and private label portfolio including collection planning and calculations Conducting market, trend, and competitor analyses Definition and management of the assortment for branches and the online shop Close cooperation with marketing as well as participation in campaigns, flyers, and other communication media Regular branch, supplier, and trade fair visits at home and abroad Leadership, promotion, and development of the purchasing team Our requirements: Commercial basic training or training in retail, preferably in the areas of sport, shoes, or fashion Further training in purchasing (e.g., specialist in purchasing with federal diploma) or comparable business administration further training Several years of professional experience as a buyer in the area of sport, shoes, or fashion Very good industry, market, and assortment knowledge, ideally in the outdoor sector Strong business understanding as well as very good numerical understanding Analytical and conceptual way of thinking as well as a structured and independent way of working Business-fluent German and English skills Strong communication, convincing personality with negotiation skills and leadership experience Passion for sport, especially outdoor activities At our company, PROGRESS is a priority.
