Head of Ocean Freight Pratteln

Your tasks

• You assume the technical and disciplinary leadership of the team in Pratteln and ensure efficient and customer-oriented cooperation.
• In the area of ocean freight, you are responsible for the processing of imports and exports, develop suitable transport solutions and support the entire shipment process from order receipt to billing.
• The care of our Key Accounts, the maintenance of the network as well as the coordination of cooperation with internal and external partners are also part of your area of responsibility.
• You analyze existing processes and costs, identify optimization potential and actively drive the further development and digitalization of our processes.
• In addition, you support compliance with our Sieber QM standards and participate in group-wide projects as well as other cross-divisional initiatives.

Our requirements

• You bring completed training in the field of forwarding/logistics as well as sound professional experience in ocean freight, especially in import and export.
• Leadership experience as well as an independent, solution-oriented and responsible way of working characterize you and are complemented by your strong communication and social skills.
• Good knowledge in international transport processing and experience in the professional care and coordination of customers, internal departments and external partners round off your profile.
• You bring good German and English skills as well as French skills at level B1 and work confidently with common MS Office applications.
• Joy in the further development of processes and the willingness to actively drive digitalization are also part of your profile.
