• Plan, control, and successfully implement complex IT projects from initialization to introduction, as well as lead the project team competently and strategically
• Ensure project goals regarding time, cost, quality, and performance and inform project steering in a target-group-oriented manner
• Develop concepts, preliminary studies, and decision-making bases as well as prepare projects strategically
• Conduct stakeholder management as well as ensure quality, risk, and resource management
• Coordinate procurements and apply suitable project methods, tools, and standards
• Be responsible for / create project documentation as well as observe developments in project management and integrate them into the project work

What makes you unique

• Higher education in technology or business administration with further training in project management or in business informatics; project management certification or equivalent proof of achievement is an advantage
• Several years of experience in leading demanding IT projects as well as ideally leadership experience
• Sound know-how in project management, business administration, and financial planning; basic legal knowledge is an advantage
• Analytical mindset, grasp of complex contexts as well as conceptual, organizational, and editorial strength
• Enjoyment of working with different stakeholders as well as strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good active knowledge of two official languages as well as business-fluent English skills

fedpol develops and operates national information systems and fulfills supervisory, licensing, and enforcement tasks in weapons and explosives law. The Directorate of Police Systems and Identification (PSI) of fedpol ensures the secure operation and further development of central police information systems and databases, is responsible for the national hub for police information exchange, and provides identification and forensic services for domestic and foreign partner authorities. The Police Systems Department (POLS) ensures the secure and stable operation of central information systems of the Swiss police. It develops these systems further according to requirements using agile methods and ensures their availability, functionality, and performance for police work.
