Automation Technician, electricity referent 100 %

You follow the device from end to end, from electromechanical assembly to commissioning and after-sales service, and you become the electricity referent for a small workshop. Permanent position at 100%, Morges region, start date to be agreed.

THE COMPANY :

Our client is a family-owned industrial SME established near Morges, which designs and manufactures its own professional electrical equipment. Technical office, assembly, and testing are all located on a single site; the devices are then sent to customers in Switzerland and internationally. This position is opening within its assembly department, which is expanding.

YOUR MISSION

You are the person the workshop turns to for everything related to the electricity and electronics of the products. On a daily basis, you cable the devices and assemble their sub-assemblies, you install the firmwares, then you adjust and test each device before its departure. Occasionally, a commissioning, a diagnosis, or troubleshooting will take you to a client in Switzerland.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be the workshop's competence center for electrical assembly.
• Serve as the interlocutor for electrical and electronic questions regarding the products.
• Support the workshop manager in daily tasks and organization.
• Cable the devices, assemble sub-assemblies, both mechanical and electromechanical.
• Adjust the devices, perform functional tests and end-of-line quality tests.
• Install firmwares on electronic boards and on embedded equipment, then update them.
• Contribute, with the technical office, to product testing and validation.
• Occasionally ensure commissioning, diagnostics, and troubleshooting at clients in Switzerland.

REQUIRED PROFILE

The position requires a CFC in automation or equivalent and proven experience in industrial production. German is a plus for intervening in German-speaking Switzerland, not a requirement.

• Mastery of cabling according to electrical diagrams; drawing them is a plus.
• Knowledge in electronics; comfortable with firmwares and IT.
• Capable of analyzing a fault and making a diagnosis.
• Autonomous, rigorous, and efficient; attentive to customer service, quality, and productivity.
• Fluent French, both spoken and written (minimum C1 level).
• Available for occasional travel to clients, driving license B.
• Valid work permit for Switzerland.
